Author Book Purchase

An author or contributor may purchase a copy of his/her own book at the discount specified in the contract, usually 40%. For other Cambridge University Press publications the discount is 30%. Purchases may not be charged to authors' royalties; payment can be made by cheque, MasterCard or Visa. When you place your order on AuthorNet we will deliver the books only to your account address and ship the books from the most appropriate distribution centre. For urgent orders that require a different delivery address, please email authors@cambridge.org

VAT

If you live in the European Union and are not registered for VAT we are required to charge VAT at the rate applicable in your country of residence.

If you are registered for VAT please contact Customer Services before placing your order to ensure that your VAT number has been (supplied as part of your registration details) loaded against your account .

Delivery North America

Unless we are directed otherwise, the order will be shipped by standard UPS (surface transportation). If payment is made by check , please be sure to include shipping charges of $5.00 for the first book and $1.00 for each additional book. New York State residents are required to tax the entire cost, including shipping charges.

If you are a resident of Canada, please note that Canadian law requires us to impose a GST tax and a brokerage fee, which will be collected by Customs officials when you call for your order. You can elect to have your order mailed via the Post Office, but delivery is not guaranteed. If your order is not urgent, we can include it in our bulk shipment to our Canadian distributor, which will process your order upon arrival. At the time you place your order, please let us know if you would like our Canadian distributor to process it.

Asia Pacific Region surface mail $9.00 AUD per order + $2.50 AUD per item
Asia Pacific Region air mail $9.00 AUD per order + $5.00 AUD per item

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
In stock titles

Australia : Delivery within 7-10 days
New Zealand/Asia Pacific Region: Delivery within 14-21 days

Titles on Indent status will be airfreighted

Australia: Delivery within 2-3 weeks *
New Zealand/Asia Pacific Region: Delivery within 5-6 weeks*

Delivery Rest of the World

How much do I pay for postage and packing?

• Within UK £3.50
• Rest of Europe by World surface mail £3.50 per order
• Rest of Europe by World air mail £3.50 per order + £3.50 per item

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We use Royal Mail or DPD UK for deliveries within the UK. They both aim to deliver within 7 days following the date of despatch. We use Royal Mail International for deliveries outside the UK. They aim to deliver within the following timescales following the date of despatch:

• Western Europe - within 14 days - surface mail
• Western Europe - within 5 days - airmail

• Rest of Europe - within 5 weeks - surface mail
• Rest of Europe - within 5 days - airmail
•  
• Rest of World - within 12 weeks - surface mail
• Rest of World - within 14 days - airmail

What is your returns policy?

If for any reason you are unhappy with the book you have purchased, simply return it to us (with the accompanying invoice), in good condition within 30 days and we will issue a full refund****.
